To all the
St. Philip the
Apostle School Families;
Let me fill you in on what will be happening in the weeks
ahead concerning the process of hiring the next principal
for our school.
We could not begin the process until the Diocese of Joliet
had officially posted the opening for Mrs. Sedlak, and
now that
this has taken place, a search committee has been formed and
has begun their search. The
members of this committee are: Debbie Delawder, Donna
Sarli, Mike O'Brien, Laila Gilliam, Mrs. Serio, Mr.
Guglielmi, Miss Driscoll, Frank Giangrego, John Kondracki,
and Rich Veenstra. These members are a representation of
Our School: faculty, school parents, parish staff and
parish community. Also serving on the committee, by
diocesan policy, we have a present principal Mary Lloyd as
well as a retired principal from our diocesan system, Tony
Amato.
The job description has been created and sent to the Diocese
of Joliet as well as our neighboring dioceses, Chicago and
Rockford. Also, so that this search is nation wide, it has
been sent to the
National Catholic
Education Association web site.
At this time I am needing your help and assistance with our
principal search. You all have ideas and opinions on traits
that the next principal should have. You will find a form
below which you can fill out online that also has room for
comments. You may also speak directly to any one of the
members of the committee regarding your thoughts and
feelings. I do not have any preconceived notions or ideas
regarding the next principal of
St. Philip the
Apostle. This committee with
your input, will come together to find the best candidate
and person for the job of being the 4th principal of St.
Philip the Apostle Grade School.
Thank you for your time and please take a moment to reflect
on your feelings and fill out this form to give us your
feedback. This is a very critical piece in helping us to
find the best person for our community.
God Bless,
Fr. Mark
