| EUCHARIST RETREAT | |
| An important rite of passage in preparation for First Communion is the Eucharist Retreat, which was held this year on March 3, 2007. Second grade students and their parents met in the St. Philip Gym at 9:00 a.m. and participated in a variety of activities until noon. They rotated between baking bread, touring the church, making a commemorative banner, watching a video about Grandma's Bread, and reenacting the Last Supper, and participating in a closing Ceremony of Light. As you can see from the photos below, the children and their parents enjoyed the opportunity to bond while learning more about the important sacrament that they are preparing for in April. | |
