CALL TO FAITH is the religious education
curriculum for kindergarten through Grade 5 students. Elementary
grade children experience a spiral approach to learning our Catholic
Faith as the four pillars of the Catechism of the Catholic
Church--Creed, Sacraments, Morality, and Prayer--are taught and
developed on every grade level every year. There is an emphasis on
understanding the Scriptures, particularly the Sunday Gospel. In
addition to the Harcourt Call to Faith text, each grade uses the Pflaum
Gospel Weekly to study the Gospel at their level. The Harcourt
Call to Faith program provides interactive activities correlated to
every lesson on every grade level through the www.harcourtreligion.com
website. There is also a section for families and teens.
Grades K through 5 meet
Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m.
Information about First Reconciliation
and First Communion can be accessed at the First
Reconciliation/First Communion web page.
Students in the elementary
program participate in various special events during the year including
the Marian Crowning in October, an
All Saints' Service in November, a
Christmas pageant in December, a Jesus Festival in February, and
Stations of the Cross in March. Please click on the links above to see
