The Liturgy Office oversees many volunteer ministries. If you would like information about volunteering for any of the following groups, please contact me:

  • Altar Ministry members wash and iron all altar linens on a weekly basis rotating monthly.

  • Altar Servers assist the presider during the celebration of Eucharist during weekend liturgies, weddings, funerals, and the Triduum. Altar serving is open to all students in Grades 4-12.

  • Art & Environment volunteers use their artistic talents behind the scenes to create a prayerful space to give thanks and praise to God. Some ministers craft items such as banners and liturgical furnishings, and all participate in the decorating of the church for each liturgical season.

  • Clean Pew Society members clean the church each week on a rotating basis, usually on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Takes about an hour.

  • Extraordinary Ministers of Communion assist the presider in the distribution of the body and blood of Christ at the weekend Masses. Tips for Extraordinary Ministers

  • Hospitality ministers help set up and serve donuts/refreshments on the third Sunday of every month as well as at other parish events throughout the year.

  • Lectors are the storytellers of the community. They proclaim the Word of God with faith-filled expression and good speaking skills and also read the Prayers of the Faithful when the deacon is not present. Tips for Lectors

  • Liturgical Committee members involve themselves in the preparation of the liturgy after careful reflection on the Scripture and prayers for each season. They also have the opportunity to prepare the Prayers of the Faithful for the weekend Masses.

  • Sacristans are responsible for the set-up and clean-up before and after each weekend Mass.

  • Ministers of Hospitality (Ushers) meet and greet at the weekend Masses, take up the collection, and find parishioners to bring up the gifts. They also pass out the bulletins and offer a helping hand to those in need.

  • Wedding Coordinators are responsible for walking the wedding party through the Mass at rehearsal as well as be present the day of the wedding to set-up, clean-up, and make sure things run smoothly.
